About Your Visit with Us

Everyone who visits can sit down one-on-one with an experienced counselor who will serve as your guide to getting the help you (and your children) need from the various agencies.

Appointments are accepted, but not needed.

We want you to know that when you visit you can expect a very warm, cozy, comfortable place. You will also see that safety is our top priority. Additionally, we keep everything you tell us in the strictest of confidence, and don’t share with anyone without your permission.

We Know often times your children have already heard more than you want them to. We want you to feel comfortable talking openly with us, so we have a fun playroom full of toys for your children under the supervision of an adult volunteer.

We want to help you (and your children) become safe. The first thing well do is help you assess the level of danger for your (and your children). After this assessment, we can talk with you about the following:

  • Developing a Safety Plan to keep you (and your children) as safe as possible
  • Filing injunctions (restraining orders)
  • Filing a police report
  • Helping with relocation (if necessary and desired)
  • Helping to establish new identities (in extreme cases)
  • Helping you and your children get to a shelter/emergency housing (if needed)
